Our living environments are increasingly traced through data. This is an experiment in how we might use it to develop richer representations of living landscapes: tens of thousands of observations from Canberra Nature Map come together in visual mosaics that reflect local ecological communities as well as the interests of nature mappers. The patterns shift in a seasonal cycle, reflecting the time of year when each observation was made.
